A special request by on of my regulars, she wanted a cake for her sister's birthday.
I normally do not specialize in birthdays cakes. I generally do not have the patience to decorate but this cake is a little different. Influenced by Christina Tosi's birthday cake, I flavored the cake and buttercream in Ube. I added a coconut crumble in each layer and on top.
The topping included Sanrival. If you do not know what Sanrival is, it is a merginue cake made of cashews. Layered with a vanilla buttercream and covered in cashews. This is normally made larger but I enjoy making bite size versions of them.
